  • This is right on the mark. I avoided exercise for years because I hated gym class and associated exercise with punishment in the various sports I played. I’ve finally come around to the other side after years of doing it for me and because it makes me happy and it makes ALL the difference.

Finding something that you genuinely enjoy makes it so much better and easier to commit to it. Enjoy!

  • Nice Post.. This Article really nice.. Thanks for sharing

  • So true! For years, I kept telling myself I had to start exercising, but I never got around to it until I changed my attitude. It’s so important!

It really is so much about how you approach it. Having fun makes it so much better!

  • I feel like sports just playing the sport itself help a lot with this. Sometimes healthy competition is good and exciting. Great post. Thanks for sharing 🙂

Exactly! We need to just “play” like kids!

  • This is a good reminder for me. I love to run, so I want my daughter to love it too. Unfortunately, when we run together, it’s much more breaks than actual running (she’s five). Its hard for me not to push her when I know she could run more or faster, but I don’t want her to hate exercise or for it to become one more thing in the long list of things I ‘make’ her do (chores, eat dinner, get ready, etc). I’ll try to make it more fun for her 🙂

My son is four and it is the same thing! I love to take him out running, and it is a great reminder for me to just enjoy it instead of worrying about all of the details: pace, milage, etc. Sometimes thats not the point, right?

  • Its all about making it fun and enjoyable! When you don’t like something, you’re less likely to do it! Great post!
